Wilmington University Hosts Kick Off Party for Arthritis Walk

April 8, 2008—New Castle, DE. Wilmington University is hosting a kick off party for the "Speed the Way to a Cure" Arthritis Walk at their Dover Campus on Monday, April 14th between 4pm and 7pm.

The Arthritis Foundation is inviting the community to Wilmington University's Dover campus to sign up to participate in or donate to the "Speed the Way to a Cure" Arthritis Walk, which takes place at Dover International Speedway on Saturday, April 26th.

The Kick Off Party will be fun for all with music, food and prizes. Wilmington University is proud to announce that their Walk Team is currently the highest ranked team on the Arthritis Foundation website, raising over $1,100.00 for this great cause.

Arthritis affects over 46 million people nationwide (nearly 1 in 5 adults) and is one of the leading causes of work disability. Arthritis affects people in all age groups including nearly 300,000 children. People who are affected with the disease are limited in every day activities like walking, dressing and bathing.
