Wilmington University To Hold Georgetown Commencement Ceremony

May 7, 2008—Georgetown, DE. Wilmington University will hold its Thirty-Seventh Annual Commencement Ceremony at the William A. Carter Partnership Center on Delaware Technical and Community College's Owens Campus, on Monday, May 12, 2008. The graduation ceremony will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.

This commencement ceremony will honor 215 students from Wilmington University's southern Delaware locations including the Dover, Dover Air Force Base, and Georgetown locations. Next week, 943 students will graduate from the New Castle commencement ceremony.

Counting both the winter commencement ceremonies (held on January 27, 2008) and the spring commencement ceremonies, Wilmington University will welcome 2,400 students to the class of 2008.

The commencement speaker at the Georgetown Ceremony will be Kathryn A. Bryne, who will be earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with a 3.91 grade point average. Bryne received her Associate's degree in Applied Science Nursing Technology from Delaware Technical and Community College in Georgetown. Employed by Beebe Medical Center in a wide range of nursing and health care areas for the past 17 years, Bryne is currently the Director of Inpatient Services, a position she has held since 2002. In this role, she has been responsible for providing and overseeing high-quality, service-oriented nursing care throughout the Medical Center. Her many volunteer activities include the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival, the American Cancer Society, and various community health fairs. Kathryn Bryne and her family are residents of Lewes, Delaware.
