Grand Opening of the New Pratt Student Center

Students have a new place to hang out, meet up and grab a quick bite.

Wilmington University students have a new place to meet up or just hang out between classes.

The new Student Center Grand Opening happens Monday, November 5, and will include music, food, indoor recreation activities and a special appearance by the national champion Wilmington University cheerleaders. The WilmU Dance Team and mascot Wiley D. Wildcat will also perform and join in the fun. Light refreshments will be served and there will be tours of the new facility.

After a dramatic renovation, during which time the gym and all athletics were moved to the new Wilmington University Sports Complex on Route 40, the old gymnasium in the Pratt Building on the New Castle campus was transformed into the new Student Center. The Center features a game and recreation room, a comfortable student lounge, a conversation pit and a “high level” meeting area with a spiral staircase. Students can enjoy food provided by The Italian Kitchen and have access to a manned information kiosk.

WilmU students will quickly make this their "home away from home" between classes, so mark your calendars and be sure to come to the Pratt Student Center Grand Opening!
