Wilmington University Plans Alumni Celebration in Florida

Wilmington University is going South.

The Alumni Association is planning a sun-kissed Winter Celebration in south Florida for alumni, family and friends of the Wilmington University community.

The event, hosted by University President Dr. Jack Varsalona, will be held at the Seagate Hotel, 1000 E. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach, FL, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. February 23.

Guests should expect heavy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and dancing. There is no admission fee for this event. Travel and lodging are at the attendee’s expense.

This is the fifth time the University has held the annual Florida celebration, and officials hope there are more to come.

“This is a way to celebrate Wilmington University with our community in Florida,” said Stefanie Whitby, senior director of institutional advancement. “There are quite a few people with Wilmington University connections in the area, and this is our way of giving back to them.”
