Wilmington University Partners With Senator Coons to Host Operation Success and Hiring Our Heroes
Wilmington University and U.S. Senator Chris Coons, will host the Operation Success and Hiring Our Heroes job fair and outreach event for service members, veterans and their families.
The event is back for the third year after much success. Last year over 200 people attended, six servicemen were hired on the spot, and 16 in total as a result of the event outreach. Operation Success will take place Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 10a.m. to 1p.m., on the Dover campus of Wilmington University.
Attendees will be able to meet with federal and private sector organizations that have positions available for veterans, learn how to make the most of education benefits, and attend sessions on resume writing, online job search, and how to start a small business.
Hiring employers scheduled to appear at the fair include AutoZone, Inc., ManTech International Corporation, LockHeed Martin, Capstone Corporation, Ryder System, Inc., Internal Revenue Service, Gamestop, Christiana Care and JP Morgan Chase, which will have representatives to hire on the spot.
Hiring Our Heroes, a program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, launched in March 2011 as a nationwide initiative to help veterans and military spouses find meaningful employment.
