Wilmington University Kappa Delta Pi Chapter Inducts 15 New Members

Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education is pleased to announce the induction of 15 new members to Wilmington University’s Chi Pi chapter. 

Eleven students and four faculty members were honoredduring a ceremony held in the Doberstein Admission Center Auditorium on January 14. The inductees are:

Wilmington University alumna Amber Augustus delivered the keynote address at the event. Augustus, an elementary school teacher in the Smyrna School District, was the 2012 Teacher of the Year in Delaware. She also received the 2013 National Education Association’s Excellence in Teaching Award.

Kappa Delta Pi inducts only those individuals who have exhibited the highest ideals of scholarship, integrity in service and commitment to excellence in teaching and its allied professions. Eligibility for membership in KDP’s Chi Phi chapter at Wilmington University requires faculty and/or supervisor recommendations, a GPA of 3.70 or higher and a record of outstanding performance in both fieldwork and student teaching.
