2014 Proud Donor Campaign was a Monumental Success!
Thanks to the generosity of the faculty, staff, and administration of Wilmington University, the 2014 Proud Donor Campaign was a huge success. This four-week campaign wrapped up with a grand total of 253 employees contributing to the Annual Fund, either by way of a continuing monthly payroll deduction or a one-time contribution. This number represents an impressive 61% of employee participation, showing the level of support that Wilmington University has for it’s student’s academic success! The grand total of money raised was $45,810.08, 100% of which will go to student scholarships.
This campaign, led by Gloria Johnson, Director of Annual Fund, concluded with a University Wide Cupcake Social on March 14, 2014. Present at this social were scholarship recipients GC Gaul, Gabriel Rollins, Michelle Whiteman, Emily Duck, and Renee Hayes.
Scholarship Recipient Emily Duck gave the following testimonial, “…the reason I love WilmU the most is that you are family here. You feel like a real person here instead of a number…this school is where I discovered my passion for photography…and my career…I would love to thank the donors because without your help students wouldn’t have the chance to continue their education and have a bright future ahead of them. “
This accomplishment would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of the Proud Donor Committee, which included:
