Suicide Prevention

A Special Message from Health Advocate's President and CEO, Mark Cardillo

Health Advocate Suicide Prevention Help

Dear Colleague:

The news of Robin Williams’ untimely death has brought the issue of suicide to the forefront. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 800,000 people worldwide take their own lives every year. It is vitally important that people understand the risk factors such as depression, a serious condition that affects daily life, relationships and productivity, and that they know how to get help.

As our nation recognizes Suicide Prevention this week, it creates an opportunity to educate employees about depression, the supportive resources for mental health issues, and how to recognize the signs of suicide. We have prepared the email below that you can forward to your employees. It explains how Health Advocate can help and alerts them to crucial phone numbers to call in a crisis.

The email is linked to a suicide prevention flyer “Know the Warning Signs” and explains how we can help employees or a family member with depression and other risk factors.

Please forward the below email to your employees to let them know how we can help. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at: 866.795.2655. We look forward to continuing to support your needs.

Sincerely, Mike Cardillo, President and CEO
