Over $4100 Raised by Wilmington University Team in Annual MS Bike to the Bay

Fundraiser for multiple sclerosis research welcomed contributions and new riders.

The annual "Bike MS" Bike to the Bay, a 2-day cycling adventure through scenic southern Delaware, began bright and early at the campus of Delaware Technical Community College in Dover, Delaware, on September 20 and ended at Seashore State Park in Rehoboth Beach on September 21.

Eileen Donnelly, Assistant Vice President of Technology and the Dean of the College of Online and Experiential Learning, helped to organize the team. New riders this year helped keep spirits high and donations coming in with the team raising $4100 for this well-known and established charity.

“Everyone on the team did a great job and I am delighted everyone chose to participate," said Donnelly. "I can't thank all who participated enough for giving their time, energy and contributions to support MS. I only hope they know how much their efforts are appreciated. And I hope each person joins us again next year and brings others to ride with the WilmU team."

The MS Bike to the Bay event raises awareness funds and funds for research on behalf of the estimated 2.3 million people living with multiple sclerosis.

Donations continue to be accepted and can be credited to the Wilmington University team. Click here to donate to the National MS Society.
