Special Training Offered at Wilmington University for Variety of Government and Public Policy Instructors

Training is relevant for instructors in constitutional law, criminal justice and public policy.

The Government and Public Policy Program will be hosting an instructor workshop entitled, "Bringing Current Constitutional Events Alive in the Classroom" on Wednesday, November 19, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Wilmington University's Wilson Graduate Center, 47 Reads Way - Room 410 - in New Castle.

Dinner will be provided at 5:30. 

This training session, offered by instructors from the National Constitutional Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is relevant for anyone teaching government and public policy courses, constitutional law, and a variety of criminal justice, legal studies or history courses (CRJ, MAJ/MHS, LES and HIS instructors and educators).  

"The National Constitution Center staff will highlight a variety of ways to bring current constitutional events alive for students in addition to showing new ways of teaching the First Amendment," said Lori Sitler, assistant professor and chair of the Government and Public Policy program at Wilmington University. "Attendees will also be introduced to the variety of educational resources developed by the National Constitution Center that are accessible through the Center's website."

Educators who plan to attend are asked to RSVP and encouraged to arrive early. Seating is limited as this training will be held in a classroom at the Graduate Center.
