Art Show of Original Works Begins at Rehoboth Beach Site of Wilmington University
Local artist Eddie Filemyr's joyful return to painting shows in her pallet of vibrant colors.
Wilmington University at Rehoboth Beach will host “Flowers & Foliage," a new exhibit of original art, on display at the University's Rehoboth Beach location beginning December 5, 2014, and remaining until January 25, 2015. The exhibition is located at 41 Rehoboth Avenue in Rehoboth Beach.
The new art show features the work of Wilmington University student Eddie Filemyr. It also marks her return to painting after a number of years.
The art show is free and open to the public. The community is invited to visit Wilmington University's Rehoboth Beach location and enjoy the self-guided exhibit Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
"In order to teach any subject, you must first understand it well," said Filemyr. “Even as I studied and taught at different institutions and museums over the years, I have always maintained my own studio. And now, after years of making jewelry and pottery, I am joyfully painting again, this time with acrylics.”
