Wilmington University Will Host Aligning Literacy Across Delaware Conference

Wilmington University is hosting the Diamond State Reading Association’s fall conference, Aligning Literacy Across Delaware, which will be held Friday, October 9 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the University’s Dover campus.

The conference is open to educators and the general public and will cover issues like ‘Teaching the Dimensions of Reading and Writing’, ‘Developing Instructional Leadership’, ‘Closing the Achievement Gap’, ‘Enhancing the Quality of Instruction’, ‘Creating Environments for Literacy’, and ‘Planning, Assessment, and Accountability.

Each of the sessions will be led by Delaware’s finest teachers, administrators and national literacy experts including Dr. Timothy Shanahan, Dr. Ray Reutzel, Dr. Karen Bromley, Dr. Jerry L. Johns and Dr. Randy Testa

Register early to get a good rate! The registration fee is $50 for Diamond State Reading Association members, $74 for non-members (this includes membership), and $25 for Pre-service teachers (includes membership); a featured lunch session, with author/illustrator David Biedrzycki, is an additional $10.
