"Hiring Our Heroes" is Coming to the New Castle Campus
Wilmington University is incredibly proud of the men and women who have served this great nation in the Armed Forces. Their sacrifice and commitment to duty has secured our way of life and has enabled us to continue to passionately pursue our dreams. It is therefore, our great pleasure to be able to support them and their families.
On Thursday, January 22, 2015, Wilmington University will be partnering with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation to present the “Hiring Our Heroes” employment workshop and hiring fair. This is going to be a free event for veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses to assist them in finding and acquiring employment.
The event, which will be held at 320 N. DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE 19720 (In the DAC auditorium), will begin with a workshop at 8:30 A.M. This workshop is designed for job seekers and focuses on resume writing, tips for successfully navigating hiring fairs, military skill translation, and interviewing. The hiring fair, which will have numerous local business represented, will then run from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00P.M.
