East Coast Reboot Inspires Innovation and Creativity May 1-3 at Wilmington University

Second annual 3-day competition combines technology, creativity and inspiration in 13 categories.

Techies will once again gather at Wilmington University’s New Castle campus for the annual East Coast Reboot (ECRB) Competition the weekend of May 1-3.

The 3-day technology-based event is an opportunity for students and professionals alike to gather, collaborate, inspire and compete in an atmosphere of discovery and vision. It is a chance to participate or watch the action as a spectator.

Registration is required for this event. Click here to register now. The cost for participation is $10 and includes a box lunch and ECRB t-shirt.

Participants can compete alone or with a team. Judged competitions begin on Friday night with the popular Photoshop Fight Night.

Other categories include Game Pitch, 3D Project, Print Competition, IT Business Proposal, Best Website, Film Race, Motion Graphics & Animation, Game Jam and Photojournalism.

ECRB is an incubator of collaborative energy, creative technology, great music and progressive ideas. There are serious prizes for this fierce competition as well. For example, the skilled pilot of the Mini Drone Challenge will leave with a Mini Drone of their own!

“Faculty, staff and alumni will have the opportunity to watch these talented techies show off their skills," said  Scott Shaw, Game Design and Video Production Program Chair in the College of Technology. "I think we are all eager to see what the competitors will do this year. Those who aren't competing can enjoy supporting the participants and watch it all in a fun and interesting atmosphere.”

The competitive tech weekend wraps up on Sunday afternoon with the College of Technology Awards ceremony at 2:30 p.m.
