Veterans Job Fair August 22 at Wilmington University Dover Location
Senator Tom Carper will sponsor networking and interviewing opportunities with nearly 50 employers for area veterans and transitioning service members.
The Dover location of Wilmington University will host a Veterans Job Fair on Monday, August 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sponsored by Senator Tom Carper, the job fair is open to veterans, student veterans, transitioning service members and their families across the state and region.
"Over 80 job seekers attended the job fair here in Dover last year," said Jim Webb, Director of Military Affairs for Wilmington University. "Forty-seven employers participated at that time and talked with our students, veterans and their family members, some of whom went on to interviews and hiring situations.We'd like to see even more veterans take advantage of the potential hiring opportunities at this year's job fair."
Senator Carper was on hand at last year's job fair to extend Delaware's and the nation's gratitude to attendees for their sacrifices and service to the country. He also expressed his appreciation to Wilmington University for once again supporting the job fair.
