Wilmington University Hosts Second Annual STEM Summit

A day of presentations and information sharing by cyber security and technology professionals free to students of all ages.

Wilmington University College of Technology will host the Black Data Processors Association (BDPA) of Northern Delaware's second annual STEM Summit from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2014. The event will be held in the Doberstein Admissions Center at the main campus of Wilmington University, 320 North DuPont Highway in New Castle.

Wilmington University Executive Vice President Dr. Laverne Harmon will deliver the opening remarks.

STEM is an acronym representing the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in education. Students and members of the community are welcome to attend and learn about STEM-based careers from key representatives in the industry. The program will include a Data Management Panel; a Girls Tech Talk round table discussion; "Rules of the Game," a sharing of insights to maximize career opportunities; STEM Industry Networking; and a STEM Fair will close out the day.
