Rehoboth Beach Site of Wilmington University Hosts Uniquely "Personal" Art Show

Original works by students and local artist/instructor Linda Minkowski are glimpses into lives and hearts.

Wilmington University at Rehoboth Beach will host “Painting the Lives of Artists” on October 16 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the University location at 41 Rehoboth Avenue. The community is welcome to attend this free kick-off event.

This is a new show of current works by Wilmington University students and distinguished local artist/instructor Linda Minkowski. The original works are inspired by each artist's personal journey and provide an intimate glimpse into the process that brought the image from the artist to the canvas.

“An artist brings to their work all the bits and pieces of their lives that have occurred up to the moment they put the brush to the canvas," said Linda Minkowski when asked to describe the show. "This unique exhibit gives the viewer a glimpse into the lives of the artists whose paintings express their hearts, their memories, places from their pasts and their favorite things. I would say that this is a most personal show.”

Wilmington University at Rehoboth Beach offers a variety of credit and non-credit courses throughout the year, ranging from art classes, computers, and languages.
