iEducate Delaware is an initiative of the Rodel Foundation of Delaware that recognizes Delawareans who think outside-the-box to help students succeed and advance in education. Each year, iEducate Delaware seeks public nominations of the state's educators and selects 15 finalists from all of the nominees. The public is then invited to vote for their favorite finalist(s) to determine the year's five Honorees. The program received nearly 250 nominations this year.

iEducate Delaware Honorees are educators who are:

·  Innovative and creative - "Out-of-the-box" thinkers that put their actions behind their words.

·  Highly collaborative with other community members.

·  Helpful to all students so that they learn and achieve more.

Dr. Williamson’s mentoring and leadership extends well beyond her professional role in the University's advanced degree program. She has served on the Colonial School District’s technology committee, Statewide Advisory Counsel for Gifted and Talented programs and many others.

“I work to bring high quality, real-world experiences into the higher education classroom," Williamson said. "Educators can gain the knowledge and skills needed to prepare students for the challenges of work and life in the 21st century.”

All iEducate Delaware Honorees receive a financial award and their work is featured both statewide and nationally to inspire others in Delaware to support students.
