Together We Make A Difference: 2015 Wilmington University Food Basket Drive is ON!

University departments team up for annual food drive to aid Food Bank of Delaware in helping underprivileged families enjoy Thanksgiving.

Wilmington University Human Resources, Student Life and Alumni Relations have teamed up this year for the annual food basket drive to benefit the Food Bank of Delaware. The food drive began on Thursday, October 29, and will end on Friday, November 13.

Last minute donations are welcome and should be dropped off at the Human Resources office at the Wilson Graduate Center, the Pratt Student Center or at the offices of Alumni Relations on the New Castle campus.

“The Human Resources Department is proud of our Annual Food Basket Drive,” said Jaimee Campbell, Wilmington University Human Resources. “Since 2009, employees have demonstrated incredible generosity and have helped many families enjoy nutritious meals at Thanksgiving. This year we expanded the opportunity for our employees, our students and our alumni to give toward this effort.”

Help make the Thanksgiving holiday a happy one for the many families in Delaware who need help putting food on the table. Cash or check donations are always welcome and are used to buy turkeys for each family that receives their Thanksgiving "fixings" from the Food Bank. Other items still needed include:

·  Canned vegetables (green beans, peas, carrots, etc.)

·  Canned ham

·  Canned potatoes, yams and cranberry sauce

·  Coffee/tea

·  Cornbread/muffin mix

·  Stuffing

·  Instant mashed potatoes

·  Pudding and jello

·  Mixed fruit

·  Applesauce

·  Baked good deserts

·  Juices and Water
