Find Your Way to Wellness at Wilmington University

360 Yoga offers insights on achieving mind-body balance

Stretch your body and strengthen your mind with 360 Yoga at Wilmington University. The second annual wellness and centering event will take place on Saturday, March 25 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Audrey Kohl Doberstein Admissions Center auditorium on the New Castle campus at 320 N. DuPont Highway.

Admission to 360 Yoga is $25. Participants can review the workshop schedule and register for the event at wilmu.edu/yoga.

Local yoga instructors will start the morning with a 45-minute practice. Participants can choose between sessions of gentle yoga, vinyasa yoga or the yoga of 12-step recovery.

Two 45-minute workshop presentations will follow, each covering the intersection of mental wellness and physical health. Scheduled topics include stress relief through mindfulness, self-hypnosis for relaxation and focus, overcoming traumatic events, massage technique, wellness as a life skill and the use of essential oils.

Part of Wilmington University's health and wellness programming, 360 Yoga is open to students, faculty and staff, alumni, and members of the public age 16 and older. All levels of experience and ability are welcome. No need to wear a fancy outfit, just bring your yoga mat and an open mind.

"We're offering the opportunity for anybody to learn about body and mind wellness in a non-judgmental atmosphere," said student life associate Anah Galloway.

"We hope that participants will walk away feeling recharged, inspired, and a little bit more knowledgeable about aspects of their well-being," said Galloway. "We also hope this event provides different tools for individuals to incorporate into their daily lives, to become healthier and happier."

360 Yoga at Wilmington University is sponsored by the Department of Student Life. For more information, contact Anah Galloway at (302) 327-4746 or anah.e.galloway@wilmu.edu.
