Joint Press Conference to Announce Wilmington College in New Jersey

June 25, 2007—New Castle, DE. On June 29, 2007, presidents of local colleges are having a joint press conference to announce that the New Jersey Commission on Higher Education has granted licensure to Wilmington College to offer selected degree completion programs and courses at three southern New Jersey community colleges: Burlington County College, Salem Community College and Cumberland County College.

The joint press conference will take place at Burlington County College's Enterprise Center at 11:00am. This is the first time that the New Jersey Commission on Higher Education has granted full licensure to an out-of-state college to teach courses and grant bachelor degrees on multiple community college campuses throughout the state.

Presidents Dr. Jack Varsalona, of Wilmington College; Robert Messina, of Burlington County College; and Kenneth Ender of Cumberland County College will be issuing statements and will be available to answer any questions.
