Withdrawing from a Course
Should you choose to terminate your attendance in a particular class after the drop/add deadline, you should officially withdraw from the class. Students may withdraw from a course without academic penalty prior to the course withdrawal deadline stated in the University Academic Calendar.
You may withdraw from a course in person or by mail or fax using the Official Withdrawal form, available at the Office of the Registrar, any site office, or online. Air Force guidelines governing tuition assistance for active duty military personnel and veterans prohibits the extension of this option to these groups at this time. If you are receiving tuition assistance as active duty military or a veteran, you must withdraw from classes in person, preferably at your home site office.
Withdrawing from a course does not release a student from financial responsibility or obligation for the course. Students may conclude payment arrangements at the time of withdrawal - or - continue to be billed under existing payment plan agreement.
If you stop attending the class, it is your responsibility to withdraw from the course. You will not be automatically withdrawn from the course! Failure to withdraw before withdrawal deadline results in a grade of 'F'. A grade of 'W' is recorded on the student's record for official withdrawals.
