Eric Zebley - Assistant CoachEric Zebley begins his fourth season as an assistant coach with the Wildcat softball program, his second as the top assistant to head coach Erin Harvey. Coach Zebley comes to Wilmington after eight years as a coach of the Delaware Orange Crush, an eighteen and under travel ball team located in New Castle County. During his tenure with the Orange Crush, his teams compiled a 254-71 record, including six state championships. Eric’s daughter, Melissa, recently graduated from CACC foe Holy Family University, where she was an All-Conference second baseman for the Tigers. “Coach Zebley will give this program the extra edge needed in preparations, both in practice and in game situations,” stated head coach Erin Harvey. Eric’s attention to detail is unmatched, and he will have direct input into our practice plans and game strategy. Eric observes so many things on the field, during both practice and games, and the adjustments we make from his input are crucial.” “Coach Zebley has watched the CACC teams and local opponents very closely for the last few years, and his scouting of those teams will be helpful as we prepare to battle in this extremely competitive region,” continued Harvey. “Having followed the high school talent and the travel ball circuit, Eric will also be very instrumental in recruiting. His knowledge of the game is second to none, and I feel he will be a huge asset to the softball program here at Wilmington University.” Coach Zebley attended Brandywine College. He currently works for Auto Team Delaware as a Senior Parts Specialist. |
