Josh Ruggiero - Assistant CoachJosh Ruggiero joined the Wildcat coaching staff as an assistant coach in January of 2006. A graduate of Salesianum High School, Ruggiero played for two seasons as a goalkeeper for the men’s team at Wilmington. He was the starting keeper for the Wildcats’ 2003 squad that captured the CACC regular season championship. Ruggiero is a former All-CACC selection, having posted an astounding 0.86 goals against average in 2003, followed by a 1.39 average in 2004. Coach Ruggiero began his coaching career with an Under-11 girls team at the Kirkwood Soccer Club. He spent the 2005 season as an assistant coach at Division III Widener University, where he was in charge of goalkeeping and defense. Currently, he is working on his D coaching license and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration at Delaware State University. “In having Josh accept this position, we get another well-rounded, focused, and hard working coach”, stated Coach Bugda. “Josh has accomplished a great deal in his coaching career.” His chief responsibilities will be working with the goalkeepers and defense. |
