This course will introduce students to the concepts and tools involved in data science. Students will be introduced to computer programming with Python in the first half of the course, and will then apply understanding of Python using hands-on activities and biological examples. Students will also be introduced to data visualization, statistical philosophy in data science, as well as machine learning principles and applications.Prerequisite(s): MAT 308
