Wilmington University Ranked 4th Fastest Growing University
Wilmington University is ranked as the fourth fastest-growing university in the nation, according to The Chronicle of Higher Education. In its “Almanac of Higher Education 2012*,” The Chronicle measures and analyzes a range of college and university data in its annual “State of Academe” report. These findings were the result of the publication’s research regarding student demographics and the changing face of higher education over the past decade. The report and analysis place Wilmington University ahead of more traditional public and private institutions and newer online universities.
“Students seeking advanced degrees want high quality academics with affordable tuition,” said Dr. Jack Varsalona, president of Wilmington University. “This is true of both traditional students, who continue on to college from high school for their bachelor’s degrees, and of non-traditional and advanced degree students, who require more flexible class schedules and greater affordability in order to work full or part time jobs while attending courses. Since its inception, Wilmington University has maintained exceptionally high educational standards using state-of-the-art technology to deliver courses - in person and online - while ensuring maximum affordability to optimize each student’s experience. We take this new ranking by The Chronicle as confirmation that Wilmington University is the school many find to be responsive to their needs.”
