Charity Auction Puts Wilmington University Courses Up for Grabs

A charity silent auction benefitting the Ronald McDonald House will offer two Wilmington University courses between now and March 27.

Anyone can bid on the courses, which can be found by visiting http://www.biddingforgood.com/auction/item/Browse.action?auctionId=188787607. One undergraduate course and one graduate course are available for auction. The auction’s proceeds will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities, leading up to the organization’s Fourth Annual “Change the Luck of a Child” Phone Bank on March 27 at the CBS3 Studios in Philadelphia. Three Wilmington University students will serve as volunteers at the phone bank, serving as phone operators for a one-hour shift from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. The phone bank will air live on CBS3 between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Individuals can call 877-KYW-3275 during that time to pledge their donation.

Bidding for Good is hosting the auction, which is currently active and ends at 9:00 p.m. March 27. In addition to the Wilmington University courses, the auction also offers “unique experiences” including concert tickets, dinner with Philadelphia Phillies baseball players and 76ers postgame press conference admission.

“Donating courses to the Bidding for Good auction is another example of Wilmington University’s continued commitment to giving back to the community,” said Dr. Peter Bailey, the University’s Vice President for External Affairs. “This is an opportunity for anyone, including current students, to take a course, save money, and at the same time contribute to an extremely worthy cause – the Ronald McDonald House.”
