Wilmington University Named Military Friendly School for 2014

Wilmington University has been included on the Military Friendly Schools list for 2014, which is published annually by Victory Media, the premier media entity for military personnel transitioning into civilian life.

The 2014 Military Friendly Schools list honors the top 20 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members, veterans, and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus.

“Inclusion on the 2014 list of Military Friendly Schools shows Wilmington University’s commitment to providing a supportive environment for military students,” said Sean Collins, Vice President at Victory Media and a nine-year Navy veteran. “The need for education is growing and our mission is to provide the military community with transparent, world-class resources to assist in their search for schools.”

James Webb, Military Affairs Coordinator at Wilmington University, said that many military service members choose Wilmington University for their studies because “they know they will receive a solid, highly valued education while being supported in their journey.

"From online and hybrid classes to career services and alumni networking," he continued, "veterans and members of the military will see Wilmington University on this list as a military friendly institution and know that there are top-of-the-line resources and high quality academics waiting for them here."
