Wilmington University Hosts "B-Sides" Delaware 2013 Conference

Information security professionals and enthusiasts meet and compete at annual event.

Wilmington University will host the fourth annual B-Sides Cyber Security Conference from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. November 8 - 9 in the Doberstein Admissions Center at the New Castle campus, 320 N. DuPont Highway in New Castle, Delaware. This free event includes workshops, competitions and distinguished speakers in the important and growing field of cyber security.

B-Sides is a community-driven network that allows information security professionals and enthusiasts to meet, share information and discuss security issues. While the conference is open to anyone with an interest in cyber security, it has become an excellent opportunity for cyber security enthusiasts from students to professionals to network, discuss topical issues or simply learn more about this increasingly important field of discipline.

With the increasing number of network security breaches nation wide, many of the nation's banks, businesses, local governments and, more recently, colleges and universities are on high alert against cyber crimes like hacking and identity theft. This conference provides a vital regional forum for those involved with the complexities of cyber network security or who simply wish to learn more about the field.

This year's B-Sides Conference will feature seminars and workshops that include a “Wireless Essentials Pentest" class and "Pros vs. Joes" capture the flag competition.

Anyone wishing to attend can register for the event at www.securitybsides.com. To stay updated about the conference, follow @BSidesDE on Twitter.
