College of Technology Hosts Computer and Network Security Advisory Committee

Ideas exchanged with Delaware's Chief IT Security Officer

Wilmington University hosted a meeting of the Computer and Network Security (CNS) advisory committee. Director of Cyber Security Education, Mark Hufe, coordinated the event to support University leadership on issues of cyber and network security.

The meeting agenda included self-assessment reports for Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Security Education certification and a review of a possible new degree program in digital forensics, among other topics.

Chief IT Security Officer for the State of Delaware, Elayne Starkey, attended via Lync to share ideas with the members of the advisory committee attending in-person.

"These meetings are important to the continued success of the University's Computer and Network Security program," said Hufe. "Self-assessment and continuous improvement are cornerstones in continuing to build Wilmington University's standing as a recognized Center of Academic Excellence in this growing field."
