Almost Here! The First TEDxWilmingtonUniversity is April 4

Premier TEDx event promises to engage, surprise and delight attendees.

Excitement is building as Wilmington University prepares for its first ever TEDx event next Friday, April 4.

TEDxWilmingtonUniversity will launch the University into the world of TEDx with the theme "Opportunity in Motion." Its live speakers will take up that theme supported by a special guest host, live music and pre-recorded TED Talks videos to spark expansive discussion and deeper connection among the attendees. The Pratt Student Center will be transformed into a TEDx presentation theater with the individually selected audience members seated in an intimately engaging set designed uniquely for the experience.

For those not familiar with TEDx, it is a global movement that uses the original TED Talks format in local, self-organized events that bring people together to share ideas that are presented by pre-selected, highly qualified speakers. Those who answered the announcement email and applied online were eligible for audience selection based on a rubric of specific criteria. Of those who applied with such qualities as originality, creativity, passion and humor, only 100 chosen attendees could receive a specially created Golden Tickets for this event.
