"Power Of Networking" April 23 at Wilmington University

Networking how-to's for students and professionals hosted by Pi Gamma Mu honor society and sponsors Career Services & Alumni Affairs.

On Thursday, April 23, Wilmington University Career Services and Alumni Affairs will join the Wilmington University chapter of the Pi Gamma Mu honor society to present the third annual "Power of Networking" in the Doberstein Admissions Center on the New Castle Campus from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 

This popular event is free and the community is welcome to attend with University students, alumni, faculty and staff. The Hospitality School of Delaware (founded by Rick Carter, an alumnus of Wilmington University) will provide catered refreshments.   

The Power of Networking features round-robin presentations by popular and impactful speakers on topics of current interest to attendees.  

Topics this year will include:

 ·  Volunteerism – Mary Cella* and Frank Ingraham* 

·   Confidential Financial Support – "Stand By Me," offering free financial coaching and retirement planning.

·   “Life After WilmU" – A round-table discussion of options.

·   Starting Your Own Business

·   Starting Your Own Non-Profit

·   New and Existing Business Support – hosted by New Castle County Chamber of Commerce. 

·   Social Media – Ken Grant, Delaware's "Godfather of Social Media"

·   Review Your Resume – Wilmington University Career Services
