Wilmington University’s Tech Week Has People Buzzing!

The first week of May has been called “Tech Week” at Wilmington University, and the excitement is palpable!  This week is going to be packed with events that will challenge and inspire those with a love for modern technology and creative expression.

The week starts off with the Annual East Coast Reboot on May 1-3.  This three-day event will be a chance for creative techies from across the region to gather at the Wilmington University New Castle campus to compete in several different judged competitions.  This event will give participants the opportunity to showcase their technical and artistic talents, and network with expert professionals in the technology fields.  In addition to the judged competitions, guest industry specialists will be on hand to critique portfolios and resumes. If you are interested in competing in one of the many tech challenges, make your way over to wilmu.edu/ecrb to register! (Our first ever live WilmU Music Fest will also take place this weekend, so think of "South by Southwest" when trying to imagine how great an event this is going to be!)

The week will be capped off with the TEDx Wilmington University symposium where speakers will present “Ideas Worth Sharing” in the fields of technology, entertainment, and design.  This event which will take place on Friday, May 8th from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM on the New Castle Campus, will be chocked full of fascinating talks on a variety of subjects.  And while the audience is limited at 100 lucky ticket holders, video of the presentations will be posted online for your viewing pleasure.

If you are tech-minded and have a passion for discovery, be sure to mark your calendars for a week worth investigating!
