Calling all Wildcats, Let’s Get Ready to Invade Old New Castle
On Saturday, May 16 the Wilmington University New Castle Alumni Chapter will be hosting the first annual Old New Castle Wildcat Prowl. The Wildcat Prowl will take place in conjunction with Old New Castle Day, the country’s longest running home and garden tour, but WilmU alumni will have a chance to receive discounted tickets, a commemorative t-shirt, and a special alumni reception.
Stroll along the cobblestone streets touring the many homes, gardens, and public buildings that will be open. Old New Castle will be alive with confederate and union encampments, musical performances, Civil War entertainers, children’s activities, historic theater, and more. This is going to be a fantastic opportunity to go back in time, and experience the rebirth of America at the end of the Civil War.
Our group will meet at 9:30AM at the New Castle Senior Center - 400 South Street, New Castle, DE. Free parking will be available there for our group.
Wildcat Prowl Timeline
9:30 AM - Registration at New Castle Senior Center
10 AM - 5 PM - Old New Castle Day
3 PM - 4:30 PM Light refreshments at New Castle Senior Center
