I Love WilmU Week
A Fun Week of Wildcat Love
February is here and to many it is known as the month of love. Valentine's Day decorations have hit the stores and people are already stocking up on gifts and candy for the special people in their lives. Fortunately, Wilmington University is getting ready to give gifts to the people they love the most as well – the students!
As a follow-up towards the very successful Pause for a Cause philanthropy event held last semester, the Student Alumni Association is partnering with Alumni Relations to express love to all of our students and alumni through I Love WilmU Week. This week will be filled with fun events, activities, raffles, and giveaways to promote philanthropy throughout the student body. During February 22nd to February 25th, each day will feature something special to give to our students. For example, students can receive a $.50 cup of joe on Manic Monday, $5 shirts on T-Shirt Tuesday, free waffles with Wiley on Wednesday, and dive into a taco bar on Thankful Thursday.
Students will have the opportunity to donate all throughout the week, and the most important part is that their donation contributes towards student scholarships. It may seem like a nice idea to eat free food, receive cool prizes, pay a few dollars for a t-shirt, or even grab a cup of coffee for you and your friends; however, the best part of I Love WilmU Week is not just about the student body receiving gifts. Rather, everyone who contributes is playing a part in giving the gift of an education to a future or current Wildcat whose dreams of college may be too hard to accomplish without the support of a scholarship. This encourages peer-to-peer giving in the most fun and creative way possible and everyone ends up a winner.
So come out during February 22nd to 25th to express your love towards the Wildcat Community and participate in all of the fun activities SAA and Alumni Relations has to offer. Details for locations and times are available under upcoming events at: wilmu.edu/Alumni
100% of your contribution goes directly toward student scholarships and is tax-deductible. Students that donate will be recognized in the 2016 Donor Honor Roll.
