The International Admission Office helps international students succeed academically, personally, and professionally during their time at WilmU. We are focused on creating an easier transition for students, from helping new students navigate the visa process and acceptance process to enrolling in courses and attending specialized international orientation sessions.


  Admission Deadlines

All incoming students are required to submit all admissions documents by the following deadlines:

 

Transferring from a U.S. Institution:

Entering from overseas:

Fall Semester

Spring Semester

Admission Checklist for B1 and B2 Visa

  • Wilmington University Application for Admission (B1/B2 applicants must apply as non-degree students and can take 1 ESL class or 1 class for recreational purposes)

  • $35 non-refundable application fee

  • Copy of a Valid Passport, Visa, and I-94

Admission Checklist for F1 Visa

  • Wilmington University Application for Admission

  • $35 non-refundable application fee (paid at the time of submitting application)

  • Copy of a Valid Passport, Visa, and I-94 (overseas applicants submit copy of passport during application process; submit Visa & I-94 upon arrival in the US)

  • Official Transcript Evaluation if educated outside of the U.S. (must be original). The agency must be a member of www.NACES.org , www.AACRAO.org , or www.NAFSA.org (General report for High School, Detailed or Course-By-Course Report with GPA for college or university. Masters students must have an equivalent of a Bachelor's degree in the US, and Doctorate students must have the equivalent of a Masters degree in the US to qualify verified by a specified agency)

  • Official Transcripts from all accredited United States institutions

  • Affidavit of Support (must be an original, signed, dated, notarized document, valid within 3 months of admission)

  • Bank Statement (minimum funds $22,500, must be original, valid within 3 months of admission)

  • TOEFL (iBT61 or higher)/ IELTS (Band 6.0 or higher) score (must be official)

  • Copies of all current and previous I-20's (if transfer student)
  • Immunization Record (measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) HBV & Tetanus required for Nursing applicants only)
  • Signed and Dated Tuition Form
  • Signed and Dated Visa Compliance Form

THE FOLLOWING ARE REQUIRED PRIOR TO COURSE REGISTRATION:

  • Copy of transfer form with confirmed in SEVIS release date (transfer students only)

  • Program planning conference and/or pre-requisite check (graduate students only)

  • Wilmington University Application for Admission

  • $35 non-refundable application fee

  • Copy of a Valid Passport, Visa, and I-94 (for H4 students only, also submit copies of the H1-B Passport, Visa, I-94, and H1-B approval notice)

  • Official Transcript Evaluation for overseas institutions (must be original) The agency must be a member of www.NACES.org , www.AACRAO.org , or www.NAFSA.org (General report for High School, Detailed or Course-By-Course Report with GPA for college or university. Masters students must have an equivalent of a Bachelor's degree in the US, and Doctorate students must have the equivalent of a Masters degree in the US to qualify verified by a specified agency)

  • Copy of a Valid Passport, Visa, and I-94 (for H4 students only, also submit copies of the H1-B Passport, Visa, I-94)

  • Official Transcript Evaluation for overseas institutions (must be original) The agency must be a member of www.NACES.org , www.AACRAO.org , or www.NAFSA.org (General report for High School, Detailed or Course-By-Course Report with GPA for college or university.
