The counseling field is becoming more specialized and competitive. Increasingly, counselors are expected to be competent with a wide range of populations, problem areas, and treatment methods. There is an increasing demand for advanced training. This Certificate of Advanced Studies in Child and Family Counseling meets a need in professional training for the post-master's-level professional who wants to develop a specialty in counseling practice with children and families.
