In response to high interest, Wilmington University now offers a weekend format for the Doctor of Business Administration program. This new weekend format commenced in September, 2011. All DBA courses continue to be held at the Wilson Graduate Center in New Castle Corporate Commons.
Students who select the new format attend classes on alternate Saturdays. As in the weekday evening program, the courses are in the hybrid format. Thus, each course entails seven face-to-face classes of three hours each, plus an equivalent amount of online instruction. However, in contrast to the weekday evening program, in the new format the seven weeks of instruction take place over a 14-week semester rather than a more compressed, 7-week block. Weekend students have the opportunity to take one class on Saturday morning and a different class in the afternoon, thus completing two courses per semester as in the current program.
The new weekend format is in addition to (not replacing) the current weekday evening offerings. All DBA students have the option to attend weekday and/or Saturday classes and can switch back and forth.
