Certified Athletic Administrator
Wilmington University will be offering the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) approved courses for the Certified Athletic Administrator exam and certification. The courses can be taken as a stand-alone certificate or the certificate can be achieved as a part of the Masters of Science in Management (Sports Management Concentration), where they have been embedded in MSP 7510 CAA I and MSP 7511 CAA II.
Wilmington University has chosen to embed the program into the graduate master's degree since the eligibility requirements to sit for the Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) requires a bachelor's degree. The attainment of professional certification demonstrates the completion of a comprehensive plan for self-improvement that will enhance the ability of the Athletic Administrator to better serve the school, community, and profession.
This is an exciting opportunity for those who may need the CAA Certification in order to fulfill employment requirements and advancement opportunities.
