Mark Hufe joined Wilmington University in November of 2001 as assistant professor and program coordinator, after working for many years as a software developer in medical imaging, robotics, and computer communications. He currently coordinates the Web Information Systems (WIS) and Computer and Network Security (CNS) undergraduate degree programs, both of which he developed. Mark enjoys teaching a variety of different technology courses, concentrating mostly on programming or networking. He has developed several face to face courses and is developing his first distance learning course, to be offered in the summer of 2009.
Mark earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Hofstra University in 1984, his Master of Science in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1995, and is currently working on his doctorate in Organizational Leadership at Wilmington University.
In his spare time, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife Nora, their four kids, two dogs, and two cats. When not at home, Mark can often be found at New Garden Airport, Toughkenamon, Pennsylvania, where he flies gliders with the Brandywine Soaring Association, where he serves as a Certified Flight Instructor, web master, and past president.
Mark’s professional memberships include CyberWATCH, where he represents Wilmington University, the Federal Information Systems Security Educators’ Association (FISSEA), the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
