Biography

Sherry brings over twenty years combined experience in leading, managing, administering and developing programs for internal and external employee development and regulatory compliance. This experience is evidenced by a strong and flexible leadership style incorporating highly developed facilitation and interpersonal skills. Since March of 2008, Sherry has been employed at Wilmington University and currently holds the position of Online Coordinator for the College of Business. Former employment positions and organizations range from Administrative Assistant, Office Manager, Trainer, Human Resources & Customer Service Manager, and Training Manager with several organizations such as Macy’s, Delaware River & Bay Authority, and RCTaylor Group. Education includes a Bachelor’s Degree from Neumann College in Pennsylvania, a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Wilmington University, and a Doctorate in Education in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University. Sherry is an Adjunct Professor at Wilmington University, and has been instructing classes since 2004, such as Organizational Behavior, Current Topics in Business Leadership, Global Business Management, Leadership Foundations, Organizational Theory & Design, Management Development, Analysis of Decision Making, Ethical Issues in Leadership, etc. In addition to design and development of undergraduate/graduate level classes, Sherry has also designed and developed numerous training programs over the course of her twenty years of experience in the training and education fields. Training courses or workshops include Leadership, Management Development, Team Building, Customer Service, and DiSC-based behavioral programs. Certifications and achievements over the years include: Professional Certification in Online Education-University of Wisconsin; Achieve Global Leadership Instructor Certification; Management Development Process from RCTaylor Group; Supervisory Program-Delaware Technical & Community College; Training & Development Certification-University of Delaware; Disney Approach to Quality Management, and Disney Approach to People Management from the Disney Institute, DiSC Facilitator Certification from RCTaylor Group, Dale Carnegie Course, Defensive Driver Instructor Certification from National Safety Council, and American Society of Training & Development (ASTD) Train the Trainer Certification. Over the years Sherry has belonged to numerous affiliations and organizations that include: American Council on Education (ACE) Office of Women in Higher Education; National Society of Collegiate Scholars; American Society of Training & Development (ASTD), Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), National Association of Government Training & Development (NAGTAD), Statewide Training Advisory Network (STAN), Cumberland/Salem County Workforce Investment Board to name a few.
