EDUCATION STUDIES DEGREES DO NOT QUALIFY RECIPIENTS FOR STATE LICENSURE AND/OR CERTIFICATION BUT DOES PREPARE GRADUATES FOR MANY OTHER REWARDING CAREER PATHS WORKING WITH CHILDREN AND YOUTH, SUCH AS NONPROFIT OR COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, PRIVATE EDUCATION, OR PUBLIC SERVICE.
Want to be a licensed/certified educator?
A student wishing to become to become licensed/certified in the state of Delaware will be transitioned into a parallel teacher preparation program upon submitting qualifying SAT scores and Delaware Department of Education minimal qualifying passing Praxis Series Core Academic Skills for Educator scores including all sub-scores. All courses successfully completed as part of their Education Studies degree will seamlessly transfer to their licensure/certificate program.
