The Wilmington University's Master of Education in Education Studies gives you the knowledge and skills to work effectively with children and youth in positions that do not require state licensure/certification, an early opportunity to enter a teacher licensure/certification program at a later date, or a strong foundation for students interested in areas such as learning theory, educational psychology, child development, and education best practices in preparation for a variety of other occupations and career paths.

The WilmU Master of Education in Education Studies degree program offers three areas of concentration including:
EDUCATION STUDIES DEGREES DO NOT QUALIFY RECIPIENTS FOR STATE LICENSURE AND/OR CERTIFICATION but does prepare graduates for many other rewarding career paths working with children and youth, such as nonprofit or community organizations, private education, or public service.
Want to be a licensed/certified educator?
A student wishing to become to become licensed/certified in the state of Delaware will be transitioned into a parallel teacher preparation program upon submitting qualifying SAT scores and Delaware Department of Education minimal qualifying passing Praxis Series Core Academic Skills for Educator scores including all sub-scores. All courses successfully completed as part of their Education Studies degree will seamlessly transfer to their licensure/certificate program.
