Commencement is the highlight of the university year, not only for the graduating class but for the faculty, administration and staff as well. As a faculty member, you care about our programs; courses; and, most especially, our students, and the University looks forward to your participation in the commencement activities.
The forty-second annual spring commencement exercises will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2013, at the Chase Center on the Riverfront, 815 Justison Street, Wilmington, Delaware.
There will be three ceremonies for the graduates by college, and it is appropriate that the full-time faculty support our colleges and graduates in all three ceremonies. There will not be separate undergraduate and graduate ceremonies. The following is provided for quick reference:
College of Arts and Sciences, College of Education, and College of Health Professions - 9:30 a.m.
College of Business - 1:00 p.m.
College of Social and Behavioral Sciences and College of Technology - 4:30 p.m.
The forty-second annual spring commencement exercises at Georgetown are scheduled for Wednesday, May 22, 2013. This ceremony for graduate and undergraduate students will be held at the Owens Campus of Delaware Technical and Community College in Georgetown, Delaware.
The ceremony will begin with the procession at 6:00 p.m.
Please email Paulette Francis no later than Thursday, April 11, 2013, if you need academic attire.
