Second Annual WU Kick-Off Carnival a Success!
The Human Resources Department is pleased to announce the success of the 2012 WU Kickoff Carnival! Held on Friday, September 28th, the Carnival offered guests food from Stewart’s Catering and Kimo’s Real Hawaiian Shave ice, as well as cotton candy and popcorn. DJ Gizzmo kicked off the party and had attendees dancing during the two-hour event. Of course, the Carnival wouldn’t have been an HR production without the spunk of the Fun Dept! Nat and his team of whacky Funsters kept the Carnival rolling by encouraging participants to play games, including Minute to Win It, Oven Mitten Tug-of-War, inflatable jousting and inflatable slide racing.
Throughout the event, students, staff and faculty earned tickets, which entered them into drawings for prizes. A mix of students and staff winners included Peter Monahan, Otis Williams, Kelly Holdren, Robin Foraker, Christyn Rudolf, Justis Henry and our grand prize winner, Derek Haines. Derek, a Wilmington University Cheerleading Team member, won a 42-inch, flat screen television.
