WilmU Staff and Faculty Appeared on Dr. Oz Show

In case you watched Dr. Oz and said to yourself, “Wait, isn’t that my professor?” you might have been correct. Four Wilmington University employees appeared on the December 3rd episode, sharing their views on a few health topics.

Lauren Havens, Career Services Counselor; Dr. Regina Allen-Sharpe, Senior Director of Career Services and Assistant Professor; Dr. Tina Barksdale, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Assistant Professor; and Katie Ellis, Assistant Director of Career Services; attended the show, recorded in November.

Dr. Barksdale spoke on bringing life back to “lackluster” hair. Dr. Allen-Sharpe and Katie Ellis spoke about a pretend national holiday, which only viewers would understand. The crew appeared after the guest speaker, Dr. William Davis, author of the controversial book “Wheat Belly.”

“We were just to happy to get tickets; we had no idea we would actually get to be on the show and meet Dr. Oz,” said Dr. Allen-Sharpe. “It was an amazing experience that we will never forget.”
