The New Jersey Alumni Chapter Un"Wined" at Heritage Vineyards
A Night of Cultured Connections
Eat, drink and be merry was the theme at the NJ Chapter’s Wine Tasting event on May 3rd! Over 25 alumni and friends met at Heritage Vineyards in Mullica Hill to enjoy an evening of mingling, wine and cheese.
The Winery paired their wines with an impressive selection of cheeses and other tasty delights. You didn’t have to be a wine connoisseur to understand why the Vineyard was named “New Jersey’s Winery of the Year!" The family owned and operated establishment offered a wide variety of wines from whites and reds to their famous fruit inspired creations, including apple, blueberry and Jersey Red. Sherry Scanlon, ’09 Ed.D. summed up the evening perfectly, “The alumni wine tasting event was fabulous. Wine tasting is a new event for us and it was great to reconnect with old friends while making new ones. With such a great selection of food and fantastic wines - what more could you ask for in one evening? The wines were so delicious, we had to take home several bottles! The wine tasting event was a fun, relaxing way to network with other alumni." Dolores Szymanski, ’07 Ed.D. echoed the comments, “The winery event provided a wonderful opportunity to mingle with fellow alumni. The venue, the food and the company were spectacular."
