Paintings of Le Petit Salon Showcased at Wilmington University’s Rehoboth Site

The Rehoboth site of Wilmington University will host an art show presented by Le Petit Salon. The display begins September 17 and will remain on display through November 1. An "Artists Opening" will be Wednesday, September 25, from 5 p.m  to 7 p.m. The show is free and open to the public.

The featured artist is Phyllis D. Zwarych and her featured work is an acrylic cityscape painting entitled, "Sidney Harbor View."

Le Petit Salon is a small group of artists who have been pursuing the study of various painting techniques and styles. The artists met through studio classes by instructor Linda Minkowski at Wilmington University and decided to form a small art study group that would enable them to explore the styles of famous artists from the Impressionists to contemporary artists.

Recent additions to the group's painting portfolio include a cityscape, painting in the styles of Kasimir Malevich, Childe Hassam and Richard Diebenkorn. Members of the group are also working to complete a painting of individual choice using only a painting knife.

Le Petit Salon Artists include Judy Catterton, Ken Catterton, Jane Duffy, Alan Keffer, LaVerne McIntyre, Melissa McLean, Margie Spaulding, and Phyllis Zwarych.
