Homecoming 2016 is Right Around the Corner!

Welcome to Homecoming 2016!
As another Wilmington University Homecoming approaches, Wildcats from all over are invited to enjoy the week-long celebrations showcasing their green and white spirit!
Mark your calendar to come back to WilmU September 11-17 for events that are guaranteed to be unforgettable. Check out all of the events highlighted below that we have planned for you!
Market Street Mixer
Friday, September 16 | 6:00- 8:00 PM
World Cafe Live at The Queen
500 N. Market St., Wilmington, DE
Spend an informal evening connecting with new and old friends over light fare* at the iconic World Café Live at The Queen in downtown Wilmington. Keynote speaker will be announced soon!
$10 Registration Fee (WilmU alumni, employees, and guests)
Free for current WilmU Students (must bring valid WilmU ID card)
Registration opening soon.
*Must be 21+ with valid state ID to drink – cash bar available.
A parking garage and valet parking will be available at this event.
Game Day Festivities
Wilmington University Athletic Complex
1365 Pulaski Hwy., Bear, DE
Get ready to see the Wilmington University Wildcats women’s and men’s soccer teams face-off against their toughest competitors. Wear your green and white gear to cheer the Wildcats on to three victories!
WilmU’s very own five-time National Champion cheerleading team will perform throughout the day.
TAILGATING
Tailgating spaces are limited and can be reserved for $25 on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations will be taken soon.
Not interested in reserving a tailgating space? You can still join the tailgating fun and enjoy the celebrations!
Additional parking will be located at Leasure Elementary School (1015 Church Road, Newark, DE 19702). Shuttles to tailgating and festivities will begin running at 8:30 AM and will end at 6:00 PM.
*B.Y.O.B. event – Must be 21+ with a valid state ID to drink.
FOOD TRUCK ALLEY
Your favorite game-day food will be served throughout the day by popular local food trucks:
• Wandering Chef
• Backyard Louie’s BBQ
• Plum Pit
• Scoops Ice Cream and Water Ice
Each attendee will receive a designated number of free tickets to be used as game-day food currency with the food trucks. Additional tickets will be available for cash purchase—$2/ticket.
FAMILY FUN ZONE
Bring the family to enjoy game-day food, music, family-friendly activities, games, and much more during tailgating.
• Make-Your-Own Scarecrows
Everything you need to build your own scarecrow will be available. Scarecrows will come in all sizes. You can even make a birth certificate for your very own baby scarecrow and take it home!
• Crafts
• Face painting
• Caricatures
• Selfie stations
• And more!
