Wilmington University at Georgetown Holds 2011 Wildcat Health & Wellness Fair

On Wednesday, September 21, 2011, Wilmington University's College of Health Professions will host the annual Wildcat Health & Wellness Fair at the University's Georgetown location. The fair will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m, in the William Carter Partnership Center on the Owens Campus of Delaware Technical & Community College.

Held each year during the fall and spring semesters, the goal of the event is “to offer something for everyone that attends, and continue our focus on our students enrichment and success,” said Michael Cylc, one of the organizers of the event. This year, the fair will feature tips for living a healthier life, free health and wellness-related giveaways, and a chance to interact with local health and wellness organizations.

The fair's host, Wilmington University's College of Health Professions, will provide information about the fully accredited bachelor's and master’s degree programs Wilmington University offers in the field of health care. For any student who applies to the University the evening of the event, the application fee will be waived.

Public and private organizations from across Delmarva are expected to attend, including Delaware Hospice, The Blood Bank of Delmarva, Women Supporting Women, Beebe Community and Health Department, and more. Departments across the University have been invited to attend, including Career Services, the Student Success Center, Student Life, Wilmington University Alumni, the Library, and, this year's host, the College of Health Professions.

This event is free and open to all Wilmington University students, alumni, as well as the general public.
