It may have been 40 degrees out on Rehoboth Beach with an ocean temperate of 37 but ten members of Wilmington University's Pi Gamma Mu were standing on the sand in their skivvies. This past Sunday, February 6, the team of students, faculty and staff, came together to participate in the 20th Annual Lewes Polar Bear Plunge, an event that benefits Special Olympics Delaware. A first time experience for all, the team member's emotions ranged from excited to nervous, to just plain scared. Nevertheless they managed to raise $1400 towards this great cause.
